The Best Bachelorette Weekend Itinerary

Planning your bff's bachelorette weekend, but not sure what would be a good game plan for the weekend? Here are our top tips to creating a dream bach weekend itinerary.

Downtown Charleston Bachelorette Party

Day 1: Thursday Arrival

The key to a well planned bachelorette party weekend is to try to get everyone in the same place on Thursday night. Why? Uhm, do we trust airlines in a post-covid world?! Hell nah! So Thursday arrivals allow for plane delays, and a buffer for the girlies to get into the Airbnb/VRBO/Aunt Carol's lake house before the fun begins.

We also like this option, because Thursday night let's the board of bachelorette directors decorate, run to the grocery store, liquor store, get the jello shots in the fridge, meal prep, etc. to get mentally and food-ready.

All you need is a few snacks for when people arrive, perhaps a glass of wine or champagne set up, and let people arrive when they can!

Day 2: Friday Activity Day

With all of the crew at the same place Thursday, we like to allocate Friday for a specific, multi-hour activity. Sound crazy? Probably...but so is spending a thousand dollars on one weekend. This could be anything from:

  • tubing down the river in Austin

  • renting a boat in Charleston

  • river cruise in Chicago

  • camping beer olympics game day

  • mountain biking / ATV expedition tour

  • spa day in Santa Fe

Fridays allow for cheaper rates (not quite the weekend surge), and usually has more availability than Saturdays. How would this day work? Start with a chill morning with breakfast at the rental, then get ready for the activity scheduled for the late morning. That way, it ends in the afternoon, you can grab a drink after during happy hour.

Day 3: Saturday Exploring Day

After a specific activity day, it's nice to use Saturday to explore the city or town you're in. Bachelorette weekends are great to see new cities, but it's often hard to actually see things in a large group. Change that. Allocate Saturday for a fun local brunch, walk around the key sites, and or even look at local boutiques.

From there, go back to the rental for a fun custom cocktail and wardrobe change, before going out to dinner & bars.

Why do we like this plan? You want to pack the most fun in a little weekend and this exploring plan allows you to pace it for your group. Want to travel to a lot of destinations like multiple popular neighborhoods? You can do that. Want to just visit in one spot and stay there while some of the group explores? BOOM, done. This flexibility is perfect. Followed by an evening of good local food and bar hopping.

Day 4: Sunday Keep It Chill

As much as we want to control everything, we can't control everyones travel plans. If you're like me, you want to GTFO in the morning to get home and prep for the week ahead.

SO - Get your rental exit plan in order. Know when you have be out of the rental, what to do with bedding, dishes, trash, etc. Lean on your ladies to help the breakdown and cleanup. Then either go out for a relaxed bfast, or grab and go food at the place. Whatever works!

Bonus: Hot Tips

  • Always allot for more time for transportation/ubers/etc. large groups move slower

  • Have some local contingency options for snacks, cocktails, etc.

  • Feel the vibe, if the bride wants to audible to another place or stay in, sway the group

  • Delegate! Everyone wants to help, and you may get a lot of: "lmk how I can help!" so actually take them up on it. Let someone prep a breakfast meal. Let someone layout the decor on the table. Let everyone know the cleanup/exit plan so someone strips sheets/takes out the trash/etc.
